Campus and vibes

Sophomore

During my journey at Laney College, I found many support services and people that have helped me in my journey in my academic career. From counselers, to support groups, and community that have all helped me progress further in pursuing what I want to achieve.

Freshman

Laney College was a good starting point—diverse student body, solid professors, and standout programs like culinary. Admin stuff could be smoother, but overall it gave me space to learn and figure things out. Not perfect, but accessible and real.

Sophomore

The campus location near public transit was a major plus, making commuting easy. However, I’d like to see improvements in campus infrastructure and more evening or weekend classes for working students. Overall, Laney provided a strong foundation for my goals, and I’d recommend it to anyone seeking affordable, quality education in a supportive community.

Student

My experience with enrolling at Laney College was okay. I had a hard time contacting admissions via phone before visiting the campus. When I visited the campus there were no staff and no one was able to help me enroll into classes - as a first generation student this was very hard for me.
