If you value getting a quality education, do not go to Lesley University. There are probably 20 better schools in a 5 mile radius of this school, with more qualified teachers. I HIGHLY recommend you look into any other option than Lesley - Savannah College of Art and Design for example has a similar acceptance rate and cost to this school but is vastly more connected to the art/design world, their Bachelors in UX for example works directly with Google whereas Lesley's UX program is a joke.

Student

If you're looking for a small school, but not too small where everyone knows everybody's business, this is the school for you. The education program is beyond excellent and the students are just as great.

Campus and vibes

Loved the environment and the people I was able to meet. Location-wise, Lesley's setting in Cambridge, Massachusetts, provided the perfect backdrop for my college experience. Surrounded by renowned institutions like Harvard and MIT, as well as a wealth of cultural attractions, there was never a shortage of opportunities for intellectual stimulation and personal enrichment. Overall, my time at Lesley University was nothing short of transformative. It equipped me with the skills, knowledge, and experiences necessary to thrive in my chosen field and instilled in me a lifelong commitment to learning and service. I am immensely grateful for the invaluable experiences and relationships I gained during my time at Lesley, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to any prospective student seeking a truly enriching college experience.

PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE! I am calling it now that Lesley will be shut down or, (more likely imo) have been sold to/merged with some other institution within 5 years. — I enrolled as a poli-sci major in September, beginning of October it was announced that poli-sci would be cut along with a few other programs. There is no way that was such a spur of the moment decision that they did not know before I and several others came to the school a month prior. Despite this we were allowed to come in with majors that they almost assuredly didn’t plan to continue. —Other majors (in stem areas mostly) are still offered despite the fact that most of the full-time professors teaching them were cut during the mass layoffs (part of the October culling announcement.) Way more I have to say than the word count allows. Please read the recently published Harvard Crimson article to get some more in-depth insight into this disaster. Save yourself, please.

I originally got accepted into the Lesley MFA for Graphic Novels program, but due to my visa status, I could not participate in the program. The Lesley administration then offered me an opportunity to take one of their undergrad programs, and they kept my scholarship and transferred all my credits from my previous university. I was worried that my credits would not transfer because I came from a small Christian school prior, and a lot of the gen-eds there was Christian school specific but Lesley was super accommodating and accepted all my credits. I enjoy life at Lesley and got to play soccer for another year. The professors are great and are actively involved in their fields, so everything they tell you is fresh and relevant. If you're coming to party or watch lots of sports Lesley is not the best for that, but with Harvard, MIT, and Boston College all close by, you can definitely find scenes for that.

Student

Visit, visit, visit! For any college, there is no way of knowing it is right for you unless you visit and see what it's really like. Student reviews and web sites and secondary information is great, but without seeing it for yourself there is really no way to know if its right for you. I have seen so many of my high school graduates transfer and be miserable because they did not visit first, and it was not like the pictures in brochures.

Student

make sure you keep up with your messes, the rooms are very small. also, get used to using public transportation. try not to use the school's medical resources, they will send you a big bill for it.

Student

The administration for the college has many issues, but the overall Lesley community is really great if you can get involved. Some of the professors are incredible. Take a class with Cristin Ashmankas if possible!

Student

Make sure while you are looking at this school to keep in mind that it is not like a ordinary college. It is small with around 1800 undergraduates. If you like a sense of community and diversity then Lesley is the perfect school for you. It also offers great programs for secondary education, expressive arts therapy, psychology and counseling. There is a small group of people I know studying business management and science but those aren't the biggest majors on campus. Unfortunately, the food here isn't THAT good, but what can you expect from a college that is more focused on your journey of education?
