Professors

Student

As someone who is furthering their education, Southwest made it extremely easy to ease back into the flow of school. My first meeting with a counselor helped me map the next year of my life and also the steps to take afterwards. I'm studying to become a nurse and was a apprehensive about how to go about it but left the office without any worries.

Student

I've also learned they have one of the most sought-after nursing programs and upon talking to the current students, am glad to hear just how happy they are to be there. Tired, yes! But happy about the program and all it's done for them so far. This makes me happy to be where I am.

Student

My experience at Los Angeles Southwest College was very educational, helpful, and I was able to complete my first two years at a community college. In Fall 2022, I'm planning on transferring to California State University, Dominguez Hills. I want to thank all the staff, professors, and of course my peers for helping me with my first two year journey.

Campus and vibes

Student

They've also been very helpful when it comes to aiding in entering me into the housing program so that my children and I will have somewhere to stay due to the fact that we experienced a house fire in April and have been homeless since. I wasn't expecting all the things they've already done for me and truly can't wait to see what my future holds at this institution.

Student

It is great to be here with them and make my career straight, i will recommend this school to my friends and family they have everything here.

Student

What I like about Southwest College is that I like the campus and how they have multiple buildings for the different majors. I like the different programs that they have. For example, there is a program called the Promise Program and which helps the 1st and 2nd-year students with everything they need.

Student

My experience is during the pandemic so that plays a major role in the way the school is . I do not like the attendance of the staff. Prior to going to this community college I went to another community college where there was a ton of help and guidance.

Student

Los Angeles Southwest college is a very inspiring and welcoming college to be a part of. The school feels like a community and the teachers and professors here are amazing. You never feel alone and there is endless help offered.
