Professors

One of the things I value most about Macalester is how professors genuinely care about students as people, not just as academic performers. I have especially appreciated the close-knit learning environment. Small class sizes have allowed me to form strong relationships with professors and classmates, creating space for discussion, vulnerability, and collaboration.

Campus and vibes

Alumni

I loved my experiences at Macalester. I had incredible professors, loved the campus and St Paul location and appreciated interacting with so many international students. I graduated many years ago but continue to be active at the College. There many new and exciting programs available today including entrepreneurship. Facilities have only gotten better and they are continuing to improve with a new dorm under construction.

Student

Macalester is an absolute gem. Fun, but also serious. Rigorous but also open and friendly. Small (and the benefits of a tight-knit community) but also part of a large Twin Cities ecosystem. I can't speak highly enough of my experience at Mac. It quite literally changed my life.
