Student reviews

Professors

Student

I had a wonderful experience at RMC. It was small enough of a school to provide individualized education and a wonderful professional relationship with the professors and staff.

Student

R-MC was a great school for academic purposes, but they need work in diversity training and being open-minded to minority students. The sociology department is amazing and well versed in their field. The student life is interesting as you have a wide variety of students. I did make life long friends there.

Campus and vibes

Freshman

Randolph- Macon is more than you could ever ask! It wasn’t on my list going into the college admissions process, but it was the last school I applied to, just to have another application done and it ended up being the best decision I’ve ever made. So many great people, great community, and amazing academics. I’ve never not felt at home here at RMC, and I’m so happy I get to spend my 4 years here!

Current Student

As a current sophomore student-athlete at RMC I cannot rave more about my time here more. The only downside is the food is pretty bad and the dorms are older but the school is in the process of building new upperclassmen’s apartments so that is exciting. My professors are constantly pushing me to be a better version of myself both in and out of the classroom. It is very common to see professors on the sidelines at game. There are many clubs to get involved with and greek life is awesome. The party scene isn’t comparable to some of the bigger schools but there is always something to do on the weekend especially within the fraternity’s and athletics.

Sophomore

There are so many wonderful things about RMC, the small school feel, friendly students, many different clubs and activities on campus, and access to professors and research opportunities. Ashland is a safe town and you can walk for food or just to check out the holiday decorations or small shops nearby.

Student

So far, I've enjoyed my time at Randolph-Macon a lot! Not only is living on the campus a new experience for me, but the staff and students here are friendly, and I feel safe being on campus. Furthermore, there are a multitude of new experiences for me that broaden and feed into my interests.

Student

My time at Randolph-Macon has been nothing short of positive. The small campus, mixed with the small class sizes is a great network into making deep connections with not only fellow students, but also professors. Outside of campus is the town of Ashland, within town, there is plenty to do.

Student

The success of Randolph Macon Alumni as a whole is almost beyond belief. From politicians, to judges, to medical doctors, to writers,’to professional athletes and everything in between, there must be something special in the water in the town of Ashland. The athletic facilities are second to none, and the academic facilities which include both a nursing school and a new PA program are amazing. Attending Randolph Macon benefited me throughout my career and allowed me to earn an income which allowed me to retire...
