Regent University

Regent University is recognized for its strong Christian-based leadership and academic rigor, motivating students to uphold high standards in both their studies and personal lives. The university encourages collaboration rather than competition, and the curriculum integrates biblical principles with professional education. This combination prepares students well for careers while nurturing spiritual growth.

I do wish a lot of the courses were more up-to-date with current information (especially in industries like film) and that some of the professors were more passionate about teaching. Communication is also lacking and/or jumbled a lot of the time. The campus, however, is beautiful, and I love that its small size makes it "walkable."

Regent offers a well-structured online program that many students find convenient and engaging, especially for those balancing work and family life. The online courses include clear instructions, easy-to-use platforms, and maintain a connection to the broader student community through virtual worship and group activities.

I like that Regent University offered a biblically-centered education and cares about preparing their students for life beyond college. However, while career is a big focus, I feel like I am not prepared for raising a family, which is important to me.

The campus is described as beautiful, clean, and located conveniently near the beach and various amenities like restaurants and coffee shops. Student housing receives positive remarks for being well-maintained, spacious, and safe, with private bathrooms and kitchens in dormitories. While the campus social scene is not focused on partying, there are numerous on-campus activities, clubs, and cultural events that foster community involvement.

While some students express concerns about limited social activities and a lack of a traditional party scene, many appreciate the safe, drug-free environment that Regent maintains. Intramural sports such as flag football and basketball are available, and campus events like festivals and trips provide alternative ways to engage socially. The school’s focus on personal development and faith creates a unique social culture distinct from typical college experiences.

The most important thing for me during my time here has been the people I have met; almost everyone tells me the same thing, that they are here for a reason.
