Student reviews

Professors

Student

Class sizes are small. The largest class in size I've ever taken was a Physics class with around 70 students. The rest are much smaller, ranging from 15 to 35 students. Faculty is nice, despite some rare cases of "reading from PPT" style teaching. Housing could be better; they are making their residence halls overpopulated by converting single rooms to double rooms. The cost of living in the area is high, as it's in Silicon Valley. SCU holds at least two career fairs per quarter, which is really nice.

Campus and vibes

Student

The campus environment blends academic focus with community connection, making my time here enriching. If I could see change, it would be expanding access to resources for student involvement and career development, ensuring all students can reach their full potential. Overall, Santa Clara has been more than a place to learn, it has been a space to grow, connect, and prepare for the future.

Student

The students and faculty here are very kind and friendly. However, there are times that I do feel like the odd one out as there seems to be a lack of diversity. However, the meditation rooms and bollywood dance teams, although not very well known, do make me feel like I have found my people. It is a bit of a party school, but you can pick and choose what you would like to do with your time whether it be partying, studying, or both. Overall, I would rate Santa Clara University as a four star institution. I like that they also teach morals along with academics.

Current Student

Santa Clara is just a beautiful college. Everyone is so welcoming and every alumni I have met has been so kind. It’s in such a lovely area, and it’s just “claradise”
