Professors

Current Student

Santa Rosa Junior College is well known as an amazing community college for a reason: really strong academics and a focus on student success. The only reason I would choose not to go here is if you place a lot of worth on a school's "party" and social scene; people here are very academically focused. Plenty of parties to attend post-transfer; save that money and get a great education at SRJC!

Current Student

If you are considering attending SRJC i highly suggest enrolling in Counseling 270 during the summer so that your registration priority goes up in the fall. Due to the enormous over flow of students there are more trying to attend than there is space available so it is very important to do anything that would move you up on the priority list for registration. Taking that 4day summer class moves you up one position. Then during your first semester see a counselor regularly and they will know you are a serious student who needs top priority when picking classes.

Current Student

Pass your classes the first time around, and make sure you don't take the wrong class. It can be really easy to stay for more than two years, but if you plan to transfer keep on top of your classes! If you need help, most professors are available in their office for one-on-one assistance. Talk to the colleges you plan to transfer to so you know you are taking the correct classes to transfer, and meet with a JC counselor to get approval for classes and an academic plan (MAP).

Campus and vibes

Current Student

I love the resources and supportive community at SRJC. As a transfer student, there were so many different pathways, counselors, and professors who built a solid foundation for my major prerequisites. Plenty of passionate professors and counselors who can also relate with you and give you good advice regarding your education regardless of background. Tons of cool technology like multimedia equipment, 3D printers, books, and supplied. Many free offerings too like food, stationary, and whatnot. If there ever was a community college, SRJC would be it-- it truly embodies the spirit.
