Student reviews

Professors

Student

I have had an overall good experience at Treasure Valley Community College. I am over half way through my freshman year and I have yet to have a bad experience. All of my professors have done really well at explaining their expectations on the work they give out. The other students who attend have all been really great and I have made some great lasting friendships.

Student

I have had a good experience at Treasure Valley Community College. The teachers have been helpful and easy to work with. The classes are fairly small making it more personal and the teachers more accessible. I enjoy the small college feel and getting to know the staff well.

Student

Dropping out of trade school influenced my decision to go to T.V.C.C because they had a welding Program and it was closer to home. Encourage student involvement in decision-making process and the implementation of school programs. Enhancing the trade Programs would improve the school for the students who dont want to go to a traditional four year college.

Campus and vibes

Student

Treasure Valley is a really great college. I’m very excited that I got to have an opportunity to go to a school that is local and they tried really hard to get all the students together. The associated student government which I was on definitely try to have more connection with the students and have their opinions on a lot of things still then all students can be heard.

Student

TVCC has a nice campus. I really liked how its close to Idaho and bigger cities like Boise. I like how the coaches are very kind and truly care for us.

Student

My overall experience has been amazing honestly. This has been my first time out of home and it has been very accepting. I play soccer at this college and it is honestly one of the best decisions I have done in my life. Throughout many hardships of my life, TVCC has been there for me when I needed help and it has been amazing being part of this family.

Student

This is my first term freshman Year, and I am looking forward to getting started and meeting new people.

Student

I have enjoyed TVCC. It is a good school with great teachers and great opportunities. It is cheap and affordable as well.

Student

I am currently a pilot school at Silverhawk Aviation Academy which is associated with the Treasure Valley Community College. Although I decided to do the non-degree program I did tour the campus before starting and was very impressed at how nice everything was and how friendly everyone is. Very well kept and just a great atmosphere. I have also heard great things from other student pilots about the degree program!

Cost and value

Student

Not all professors are bad, but they're not great either. Everything here is overpriced for being a community college if you're looking for affordability it's not that great. Dorms cost more than tuition. Most sports teams are embarrassing to watch not all of them though. Just check yourself on their website.
