UCi offers so many opportunities such as clubs, volunteering, events, etc., which have pushed me to be more social and confident in communicating with my peers. The professors at this school are amazing, they truly care for the education of their students giving clear lectures and learning material.

Campus and vibes

College sophomore

I got accepted from the wait list but I honestly think it's because I submitted the application on the deadline day. Other international students with lower standing in my high school got accepted. Overall UCI is ok: lot of resources and opportunities and a safe area.

Freshman

UCI is for people who want a safe area and community to be around. On top of that, the surrounding area is full of good spots to eat at and go shopping. The only thing I would negatively comment on at this University is the weak social presence, which is something I wish it had.

Sophomore

UC Irvine was a great campus for those who didn't mind a quiet and meaningful college experience. It was perfect for seeing people often and becoming familiar with them. The way the campus is structured and the different activities and events available to students make the school seem less big and intimidating, which I valued as a freshman.

Sophomore

There is always something for everyone, whether you are more introverted or more outgoing. As an introvert, I loved that housing was grouped into major communities. You could go over to a friend's place right across the way. Even in off campus housing, most students lived somewhat nearby and were still easily accessible.
