Campus and vibes

Freshman

I enrolled at UMB thinking it would be a cheap option and that it would convenient to commute to from my home. Unfortunately, I've been stuck doing all-virtual classes due to their vaccine mandate. I applied for a religious exemption and had ample documentation (including a letter from a pastor), but they have refused to approve my request. UMB has been very disappointing for me. Not only do I miss out on a lot by not having in-person classes, but there's also a limited selection of courses offered virtually. I'm unable to take many of the classes I need for my major. For this reason, I'm seriously looking at transferring in the Fall.

Student

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE GOING TO RENT AN APARTMENT. So many things can go wrong. And you won't get ANY help from the school. Even if they assure you that they will help you, take it from someone who's been there and done that.

Student

Enjoy the University and what it offers and the city it is in.

Student

Get involved with clubs on campus. It is a great way to meet people because the school is so large. Students may also want to take advantage of their professors' office hours whenever they need extra help or just have a homework question.

Student

take the mbta to school.
