99 percent acceptance rate. Which means there are many really bad people here who don't belong. The academics are sub-par and there are many unqualified professors and service employees. The guys look scruffy and backwoods and not very smart while the women are better dressed.

Campus and vibes

Junior

I fell in love with the University of Mississippi the first time I stepped foot on the campus. Gorgeous landscaping and smiling faces everywhere created an environment in which I could thrive socially and academically. The social life at Ole Miss is boosted by an emphasis on community and involvement and reinforced with vibrant campus event including sporting events.

Freshman

I love the University of Mississippi and would not want to be at school anywhere else. The environment is top tier, as well as student life, there are tons of organizations to join and ways to get involved.

Graduate Student

I never thought about it until I became a student here but how do black players play for a team named the rebels (confederates who fought to enslave them) and a term OLE MISS that has a racist meaning. There are rural students and very low number of black students and that's it for diversity. Nightlife is common but spiking girls drinks is way too common and even the police will try to get with the female students.

Other

Very fun time with my friends when I finish all my assignments. There is always something to do around campus.

Senior

Coming to the University of Mississippi was one of the best decisions that I could have made. Coming from out-of-state, I knew absolutely no one, but immediately fell in love with the community that is at Ole Miss and Oxford. Everyone wants the best for you whether its classmates, community members, or your teachers. This university pushed me to succeed and reach for high goals.
