Student reviews

Professors

Senior

Most of my classes and professors were really good. I completely transformed as a student. Unfortunately there were a couple professors that really left a bad taste in my mouth.

Campus and vibes

Other

My overall experience with the University of Utah has been very positive. I appreciate the wide variety of academic programs and the flexibility they offer, which makes it easier to explore different interests while still working toward my degree. The campus is beautiful, especially with the mountain views, and it creates a motivating environment to study and spend time between classes. I also like that there are many resources available to students, such as tutoring, academic advising, and mental health services, which show that the university genuinely cares about student success and well-being.

Sophomore

overall, big student body so less direct interaction with professors or TAs. nice campus overall and safe surrounding area with good student life.

Alumni

At the University of Utah, I was able to find a degree that I loved and a small community that shaped me into the person I am today. While I was not very involved with campus life, I appreciated the fact that there were constant events and activities throughout the campus that allowed me to meet new people and explore more of what the school had to offer. The student population was not very diverse but the school often tried to show support for minority students through various programs and professors that genuinely cared about their students.

Freshman

So far, I have liked several things about the University of Utah. Firstly, it's food is amazing and as a gluten free person there are so many options. Secondly, I love the football team, and the home games are just electric. Thirdly, it's very easy to get around campus, as most classes are a walking distance away from my dorm and if need be, I can take the train as students get to ride the public transport of Salt Lake City for free. Finally, there are so many campus activities and clubs every week, so I'm always out and about meeting people.
