The nursing program is very competitive here. You have to take an entrance exam and attain a certain score before your application will even be looked at. You also have to have all of your pre-requisite classes completed before applying to the program. Hundreds apply and only 50 are accepted at this time.

Admission for UWF – At University of West Florida the process of admission was fairly easy. I applied and the next week I was accepted. The emailed, called, and wrote me to tell me I was accepted. They move pretty fast with admission along with housing and you meal plan. As far as my major goes I am taking my pre-requites to be able to be considered Pre-med.

About University of West Florida

UWF's Office of Undergraduate Research encourages students from all disciplines to pursue funded research beginning their freshman year. The office offers travel grants, a research exploration program, work-study research assistantships, and more. Each spring, students and faculty present their work through poster and oral presentations, an engineering showcase, music performances, and visual art at the Student Scholars Symposium and Faculty Research Showcase.
