Professors

Current Student

My experience as a full time student at Virginia Peninsula Community College has been a very rewarding experience. I really appreciated the online options as well as the multiple in person classes to choose from. This has made scheduling a lot easier and allowed me to fit in class to match my already existing life-schedule.

Student

Thomas Nelson is an excellent choice for college, especially if you are getting prerequisites or are looking to transfer. The classes are diverse and affordable, the professors are kind and knowledgeable, and the campus is lovely. I feel that the academics office could do slightly better with keeping students informed but overall it's a great college to attend.

Junior

You'd think the fact that I was dual enrolled from my high school that they would figure out that I was in fact a resident of the state, but that had to be fixed. As most colleges go there are great professors and there are awful professors, but a few that teach here are absolutely lovely and I wholeheartedly recommend them despite the poor infrastructure.

Campus and vibes

Current Student

I have loved being a part of VPCC. I’ve “been home” from the time I set my foot on campus. I think this comes from the fact that the faculty and staff believe in me as a student.

I would absolutely recommend if you are looking for a very cheap and very nurturing and rewarding education to come to Virginia Peninsula Community College. It's not just a college, we are a community that helps students to success.

Junior

I will just start by saying it's always a great option to save money by doing a two year if you need you don't have much financial support. However, I feel like I've paid with my sanity and mental health sometimes. During the start of the pandemic, professors were basically just praised for showing up because of the current situation with Covid19.
