Student reviews

Professors

Current Student

The thing I enjoyed the most was the classroom sizes as it was easy to communicate with your professors and seek help. Another thing I enjoyed was the resources on campus for students such as the health and counseling center which provided free counseling to on campus students and the gym which takes a worry off their things to pay monthly.

Student

I liked the classes especially the Political Science and Social Justice ones, they really are great for everyone and teach valuable lessons. I like the environment and the scenery full of nature. I also like the many resources that are included in your tuition.

Campus and vibes

Over all my experience at Western Oregon University was 10/10. The professors really made the courses fun and easy to manage. It was all very user friendly, and especially with working full time, the online portal/platform was easy to navigate everyday. The staff has always been friendly and very helpful when I had any questions.

Campus itself is beautiful and well maintained. I think what really makes the University great is the professors and advisors.

Current Student

My first year here started off difficult as I had to learn how to live alone but I was able to adjust easily thanks to the community-like environment. There are many events occur weekly and clubs which seek to provide students with skills that could help them stand out from others.

Current Student

Overall the atmosphere is very positive and inclusive to all types of people wherever you go!

Student

I like how there is a lot of clubs for many cultures and careers, and the many opportunities they share and have.

Student

It's a small school in a small town, so I wouldn't expect a huge social scene. But it has great character and professors know you by name and the students are very inviting and friendly.

Student

The campus is clean and beautiful, well kept. Finding housing off campus can be a struggle due to the size of the town, but 10 to 30 minutes in any direction you can find places to both live and have social outings.
