I only rate this as okay because there are two sides to getting into the College of Business. On one side, if you apply to the COB as you are applying for the school, your chances of getting accepted are quite high. However, if you apply to the COB after enrolled at CSU, the requirements are much stingier, and the acceptance rate is much lower. My advice would be to apply right away, before enrolling and registering for classes, as you will have a much better chance of getting accepted.

College freshman

When entering my program I had to apply, write an essay which is normal, and get a letter of recommendation. The programs are selective, but they also want students so they help you to succeed and to get accepted into your desired program.

Campus and vibes

Student

I love Colorado State University; the overall environment is welcoming, and most teachers that I've had are very understanding and accommodating. There are so many resources. If you have a question or you are confused about an aspect of your college life, there will almost always be someone there to help; you just have to ask!

Student

Colorado State University in Fort Collins generally receives positive reviews for its beautiful, walkable campus, strong sense of community, and excellent, supportive faculty. Students praise the balance between academics and outdoor life in a friendly,, energetic town. However, some reviewers note limited diversity, higher costs, and mixed experiences with dorm quality.

Cost and value

Freshman

I enrolled in CSU with the false hope that my aid would be able to cover me completely. However, my aid wasn't covering me completely, resulting in loans. I withdrew well before the deadline, and the school persistently has sent me letter after letter demanding I pay a balance I shouldn't have owed in the first place.

College senior

It is not the best system, but at the same time it is not horrible either. The only real financial aid I have received from the school (I am going into my senior year) is a merit based work study award. The process of obtaining this award was a little bit difficult due to the high volume of students applying and the low volume of funds available. Even so, my application was accepted, and there have been relatively few roadblocks since the application.

Student

The one issue that Colorado State has is not even one that it can control. In recent years, tuition rates have been spiking as the state government of Colorado continues to cut funding for post-secondary education. As a result, tuition has increased at increments of 3-6% for almost a decade. It kills me to have to say it but the truth is that these tuition increases aren't likely to stop any time soon either.
