Campus and vibes

Student

Fort Lewis is a beautiful campus that welcomes all students from all backgrounds. So far, what I have gathered from attending orientation and campus tours is that Fort Lewis is the perfect place for any outdoors person who enjoys recreational activities, while also having a strong sports program that accommodate those who study health and wellness majors.

Current Student

In state tuition is perfectly priced, and you have access to all sorts of great facilities on campus. We have a great, practically brand new gym and recreation facility, the Student Union is also new which has a brand new media center, Rocket Grill Restaurant, game area and study area.

If you like big cities, lots of places to shop and constant happenings, Durango is not the place for you. We've got about 15,000 people in Durango, that number probably drops in the winter time too. It's a slower paced city, but it has a lot more to offer than just shopping or big events. Give the mountains a try for a change.

Current Student

I would encourage prospective students to take the time to research and visit the school before they commit to coming. I don't think Durango is for everyone so it's definitely worth your while to check it out to make that decision for yourself.

Student

It was a good experience due to the fact that I learned a lot about college life. My academic grades were not so good due to the fact that I had a close relative pass. I did well for the first month of school, but after she passed, I had a lot of things to do outside of school. I liked the cross country team, and the dining hall wasn't too bad. There was always something I could eat. Overall I think its a good school, and I will do better this year.
