I AM FROM A SMALL TOWN AND STARTING COLLEGE WAS A SCARY EXPERIENCE. THE FRIENDLY STAFF AND STUDENTS HELPED ME FIND FRIENDS AND GROUPS TO MAKE ME FEEL AT HOME. MY MAIN FOCUS AND EDUCATION IS THE HORSE PROGRAM THEY OFFER WITH ON HAND CLASSES AND MEETING PEOPLE THAT CAN CONNECT ME TO FUTURE EMPLOYMENT.

About Lamar Community College

Lamar Community College strives to provide a safe and secure campus environment through the Campus Safety Department. The department works in partnership with local law enforcement and community partners. The college has a full-time Campus Safety Officer and maintains close working relationships with the Lamar Police Department and the Prowers County Sheriff’s Office.

Lamar Community College offers opportunities for students to excel academically, including the Phi Theta Kappa honor society.
