Professors

I love this university. The professors do not give much homework and give you a lot of resources to help you be successful in the courses. There are also a lot of support groups that aid students financially and mentally which I appreciate. There's many different majors you can choose from and the best part -to me at least- is that they are an ACT score optional school so I didn't have to show them my ACT score in order to get accepted and so they only required my grades.

Freshman

Overall Metro State is a good school with good programs. I believe that the academics and ability to learn in multiple ways (via online/on campus/etc) are very wonderful aspects of Metro. However, there isn't much student life here.

Campus and vibes

Current Student

Students are very fun and engaging and the school has a very diverse student and staff body which, as a person of mixed race, I appreciate.

Freshman

For those wanting the "typical college student life experience... " you will not find that here. The clubs aren't super active, there are few events, and there aren't any sports or student housing opportunities. For those reasons I am actually transferring. This school is very diverse though which I will miss.

Cost and value

Current Student

There aren't any dorms though which I would like to see in the future and the campus city isn't very safe which is why I take remote courses only. From what I know, there isn't any sports teams either. But I will say that the money you invest is probably the cheapest you can get in Minnesota and even though that can sometimes mean bad education, its the opposite for this school.
