Student reviews

Professors

Student

I have gone to a few different colleges. I started at Metro in the middle of COVID. The professors made the transition to online schooling easy. I have enjoyed the classes that i have taken and the professors have been very helpful and understanding.

Student

Many faculty and staff are approachable and genuinely invested in student success, and the university places a strong emphasis on practical, career-focused education.

Student

My overall experience with this school is horrible and when it comes to my academic planning and my academic advisor, Ive been in this school since 2023. Its now 2025 I was supposed to be graduating and I pay for college cash and bc of my advisor I have a class that I have been trying to get into for two semesters that I can’t graduate without completing mind you I can’t get financial aid bc it’s one class and there’s nothing no one could do so Im stuck in the situation with one class left to take and can’t graduate with my degree bc of it.

Campus and vibes

Student

Mt experience has been positive and meaningful. I appreciate MSU Denver’s strong commitment to access, diversity, and serving nontraditional students. The campus community reflects a wide range of backgrounds and lived experiences, which makes learning feel relevant and grounded.

Student

MSU Denver is a very large and thriving campus, it always has a space for you! My first year of college was terrifying, I never thought I would find my people. But eventually, I found friends in my major, and even joined a club!

Student

College can be overwhelming at first, especially with integrating into this entirely new system that is separate from high school. It’ll take time, but you’ll find the places you enjoy on campus, and the people you enjoy spending your time with. Stay strong, and go Roadrunners!

Cost and value

Freshman

I’m super exited to go back to school after 4 years. From the research I have done Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU) has the best affordable tuition comparing it to other educational institutions, also they offer a large catalog of majors that the students can choose for. Not to also mention the help I’ve gotten from the financial advisors there, they have guide me to know where to look for scholarships and also how to apply for other forms of financial aid.

Student

My only issues is with the admissions department and the head of departments who decide what credits are transferable. They refused to take a Global Business credit for their global diversity credit however, I could take Vampire Films and it would fulfill it. Some of these decisions are putting students further in debt and further behind in completing their education.
