I'm a culinary arts student at the W. The community on campus is very cozy and homey. The classes are engaging, and the teachers are very understanding and professional. Campus life is lively, and there are multiple social clubs and student organizations that are very active on campus.

I love the nice and cozy environment. The teachers are very loving and caring and they really enjoy what they do. The campus activities spark interest almost immediately from the ice cream parties to all the intermural sports. The best thing about The W is the people and the relationships that you can make.

About Mississippi University for Women

Mississippi University for Women is committed to providing a safe and ethical campus environment, offering full police safety services through the MUW Police Department. The MUW PD force consists of sworn officers with full arrest powers who are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, certified by the state of Mississippi. The university also maintains a cooperative relationship with the City of Columbus Police Department and Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department.

The Ina E. Gordy Honors College at MUW offers an academic community in honors courses and beyond, including opportunities to work closely with faculty across campus. Students can participate in hands-on, real-world experiences, including independent research and study abroad.
