About Salem College
Salem College Public Safety officers have the authority to ask persons for identification and to determine whether individuals have lawful business at Salem College. Reporting campus incidents and crimes can be done by calling Salem Public Safety at (336) 917-5555 or extension 5555 from any campus phone, or by making a report in-person at the Public Safety Office located on the lower, rear level of Main Hall. In the event of an emergency, students may also dial 9-911 from any campus phone, which will directly connect them to the emergency communications center for the Winston-Salem Police Department.
The Honors Program at Salem College offers academically talented students a community that pushes conventional scholarly boundaries to promote excellence. Honors Scholars interact with peers, prominent scholars, writers, business professionals, and community leaders to advance their critical thinking skills and their knowledge of the increasingly diverse world in which we live. Honors students regularly take classes that have a health leadership focus and do health-related research projects.
Salem College has an international student population from Nepal, Ethiopia, South Korea, Mexico, and Myanmar.
