Student reviews

Campus and vibes

Freshman

I love that there are multiple quiet spaces to study other than our dorm room. Such as the library, wood center, academic support resources and, even outside on a nice warm sunny day. I also love that there are multiple clubs to be a part of. A few of my favorites are the volleyball club and the beading club.

Junior

It has been a great experience. I have met some of my best friends though UAF and the clubs they offer. I have experienced so many fun activities put on by the university and have become involved with the Fairbanks community though the school, church, and work. I love all of the trails that UAF has, along with activities and events that they put on. Starvation Gulch is such a fun event.

Student

It was a great experience aside from the harsh winters. Super friendly advisors and faculty. They have a great business program. They have a super accessible campus with running and skiing trails, a recreational center, and countless activities every week. There are always members of the UAF team available to help. I suggest coming to the Patty Center to watch some competitive games of basketball and volleyball. And you can't forget the NANOOKS D1 hockey team where every game is full of energy. The only downside is if you don't like -40f bring some extra layers!
