Student reviews

Professors

Student

The academics at UNC are challenging but that is expected. However, the registration for classes is terrible and I believe UNC needs to do something to fix the continuous challenge of trying to find open classes. Even as a junior, classes I need are full before I can even register for them.

Student

I come from a very small high school where I was able to know every person, their quirks, their stories, their issues, etc. It has been hard moving to UNC with the large student population. The academics have not been challenging thus far, but rather networking and competing with your fellow student is what makes it a challenging and rewarding university.

Campus and vibes

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is a very special University as just like any other college we have an own unique culture. The sports programs at UNC are one of the best and it's always fun to see our school come together for our basketball games. Franklin Street and neighboring areas (Carrboro) are always fun to visit with places with great food, bars, and fun things to do with your friends.

Student

After four years here, I would highlight the academic rigor, campus and facilities, most of the professors, and Southern hospitality that is found across the student body. The campus is top-notch. Most of the professors are also great. Most students have a good work-life balance.

Student

My experience at UNC was absolutely influenced by my participation in Greek life. I found, and I would believe many others would agree with me, that joining Greek life gave me a drastically different experience while at UNC. The social circles are completely different, the hot spots and hubs of student life are different, and the priorities are across-the-board different.
