Professors

Student

Department chairs are too busy to adequately deal with student concerns. Transfer counselors are more concerned with getting students enrolled at Winona State than actually getting the students registered for appropriate classes, leading to transfer students taking extra unnecessary credits. My graduation application was submitted on New Years Eve and not looked at until the end of March, and transfer credits hadn't been processed appropriately, so there was a lot to get corrected, and my application wasn't approved until after the deadline so I was unable to walk at commencement, even though I graduated with honors.

Student

I also found the advisors to be a poor resource. I did not feel well supported as a student. Individual professors were good, but overall the experience was not great.

Student

Overall, I was quite disappointed with my experience at this school. I made so many great friends and shared wonderful experiences with new people despite the school itself being a let down. I was a nursing student here and attempted to apply to the program for the following semester. After unfortunately not seeing a very important email that was not flagged as high priority, I was not accepted despite my many appeals and letter to the nursing school board.

Student

I would suggest pretty much any other nursing program besides this one :(

Campus and vibes

Student

I feel they need better communication. When I applied originally they were helpful, but when enrollment came it was the most difficult thing to get ahold of them or even get response back. Overall it has a nice campus and an awesome libary.
