Student reviews

Professors

Current Student

I did not face any difficulties getting into my major. I don't think my program has an abnormal application process. I think the most important criteria for admission is the essay and grades from high school.

Current Student

Easy as Pie – When I applied to this school, I already knew what program I wanted to be in. I put that on my application, and when I was accepted to the school, they said I was in the program. The education program at this school is not competative so I had no problems.

Campus and vibes

Student

There are multiple places to eat on campus, including Decary, the main dining hall which is buffet style with multiple meal choices. Personally I don't think the food is bad at all, but some students aren't a fan.

Student

Sodexo does a fantastic job supply food for the University of New England. We have multiple choices for meals every day, and they even offer multiple places on campus to eat.

Student

The food at UNE varies. We have five different places to eat on campus, one of which is a main dining hall. The other four small eateries are usually pretty good.

Student

The dining hall can sometimes be disappointing, especially if you are eating there three times a day. The dessert is always good though! I recommend switching it up as much as possible.

Student

If you eat at the same place every day, multiple times a day, you are bound to get sick of it. Remember that you are not restricted to the school's food. Order delivery for a change.

Student

There are many different restaurants that deliver to UNE, like thai, sushi, and pizza. Also, get off campus! Take the bus or rent the Zipcar to try out some of Southern Maine's local cuisine. It is one of the best parts of UNE's location.

Cost and value

Student

UNE is currently rated number one for return on investment, as a private college where you're getting a great education, the price is fair. The school offers great financial packages, but room and board prices are a little high.

Student

Although the cost is more than many of us can afford, the campus life, the classes, the professors, and the help are all worth the cash.
